The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment biennial conferences bring together hundreds of scholars, writers, and humanists to discuss new research, participate in workshops, explore the host site through field experiences, and build their professional networks.
For ASLE 2017, our Twelfth Biennial Conference, the theme is Rust/Resistance: Works of Recovery. The conference will be held June 20-24, 2017 at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
We will post and update all information you need about the conference here, including details about submitting a proposal, information about our exciting roster of keynote speakers, registration and conference program links, descriptions of conference events and field trips, and options for travel and accommodation.
“For almost twenty years, ASLE has enriched my life as a kind of professional home base; I look forward to each conference or new issue of ISLE as a reunion of old friends and a source of intellectual and creative inspiration.”
